Refugia Gardens collaborates with Flagstaff Foodlink to sponsor a free cooperative market booth to encourage local backyard growers to sell their surplus starts, produce, eggs, and perennials to the Flagstaff community.
2021 Booth availability TBA
As of July 7th, 2020, the Flagstaff Community Market is not accepting backyard growers due to the pandemic and challenges to existing primary producer vendors. We’ll keep this page updated if anything changes.
Here’s how you can participate:
1. Contact info@refugiagardens.org and let us know that you will be bringing produce or plants. If you are interested in selling eggs, value-added products, or other items, be sure to contact us ahead of time for more details. Please be in touch at least one day before market, if possible.
2. Arrive between 7:30-8:00am on Sunday at the Flagstaff Community Market to set up your produce/plants at the Backyard Growers Booth. (You do not have to participate every weekend.) Please have your items labeled with the price. If you are able, bring a “money bank” to provide change for customers and a piece of paper to keep track of your sales.
3. The Market runs from 8:00am – 12:00pm. If you are unable to stay the entire morning, one of our volunteers can help sell your produce.
4. 10% of your total sales for that day must be paid to the Flagstaff Community Market at noon on the same day. You must pick up all your items for sale at noon.
We would love for you to join us at the Flagstaff Grown Booth! Make some extra cash to help fund your gardens, offer fresh local produce to the Flagstaff community, foster a diverse local farmer’s market, meet other growers, and celebrate the Flagstaff growing season!
